Quick and delicious potato latkes with onions made from common ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 3 large potatoes, peeled and shredded
  • 1 small onion, shredded
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, or as needed
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine the potatoes and onion in a bowl. Mix in eggs, salt, and flour as required until the mixture sticks together. Use wet hands to shape about 1/3 cup of the mixture into flat round or oval patties.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, shimmer the vegetable oil and delicately slide in the patties. Fry until crisp and golden brown on the bottoms for 5 to 8 minutes. Then, use a spatula to flip and fry the other side until golden.
  • Place 2 paper towels in a colander or strainer, then drain the cooked latkes in it. Serve while hot.
