A nostalgic childhood favorite: Crispy halibut with "pink sauce," spinach salad, and toasted bread. Ideal for white fish like ling cod or snapper.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound halibut fillets
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup low-fat creamy salad dressing (e.g. Miracle Whip™)
  • 1.5 cups crushed saltine crackers
  • garlic salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch seasoning salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and gently dry them with paper towels.
  • Combine cracker crumbs, garlic salt, pepper, and seasoning salt in a shallow bowl. Set aside. Coat fish fillets with flour, shake off excess, and place in a baking dish. Spread salad dressing on top, then press on seasoned cracker crumbs. Repeat on the other side.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until the fish turns white and can be easily flaked with a fork.
