Ingredients:
  • 1kg corned beef
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 111.38 gm maple syrup
  • steamed vegetables, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, generously cover the beef with cold water. Set the saucepan over high heat, cover, and bring to a boil. Then, reduce the heat to low and simmer, partially covered, for about 1 hour until the beef is tender. Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.
  • Take beef out of the water and place it in a baking dish. Press cloves into the beef, drizzle with maple syrup, and season with pepper. Bake for 30 minutes until golden. Remove and discard cloves, then slice the beef and serve with steamed vegetables, drizzled with pan juices.
