Classic Indian cabbage and potato stir-fry made with aromatic spices, perfect to enjoy with rice or chapattis.
Ingredients:
1tablespoonvegetable oil
1teaspooncumin seeds
2teaspoons hot chili powder, or to taste
0.5 teaspoonground turmeric
1teaspoongaram masala
1.5 cups shreddedcabbage
1 medium potato, peeled and sliced
salt to taste
1teaspoonmincedfresh cilantro, or more to taste
Instructions:
Warm vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, chili, turmeric, and garam masala and toast for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cook cabbage and potato together until cabbage wilts, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and cook until potato is soft, 5 to 10 minutes more. Serve hot with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
