Ingredients:
  • 1kg chicken wings (cut into wingettes and drummettes - tips removed)
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar, packed
  • 750.00 ml cola (see Notes)
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed and mashed
  • 1 large onion, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 140C for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a non-reactive baking pan, dish, or casserole, excluding the wings.
  • Place the wing pieces in a roasting pan and generously cover with cola until mostly submerged. Bake in the oven for three hours, or until the liquid transforms into a thick, sticky syrup coating. Remember to rotate the wings every hour for even cooking. Keep a close eye on the wings during the final hour of baking.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
