Baked honey garlic wings: Crispy, sweet, and sticky - a healthier twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 24 chicken wings, split and tips discarded
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Spread out the chicken wings in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes until they are crispy, then transfer them to a baking dish and set aside.
  • Combine 2 1/2 cups water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil. In a separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup water with cornstarch until smooth. Stir this mixture into the saucepan until the sauce thickens. Pour this delicious sauce over the chicken wings until coated. Enjoy!
  • Bake the wings until the sauce is bubbling, chicken is cooked through, and the juices run clear, about 15 to 20 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
