Transport your tastebuds to Turkey with a savory lamb and pumpkin pizza.
Ingredients:
  • 1 brown onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 5.00 gm ground cumin
  • 10.00 gm paprika
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 250g lean lamb mince
  • 240g butternut pumpkin, peeled, deseeded, cut into 1cm pieces
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) Mutti Tomato Passata
  • 250ml (1 cup) water
  • 1 x 430g loaf Turkish bread, split
  • 200g low-fat feta, crumbled
  • 50g baby rocket leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C. In a medium frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Sauté the onion until soft, then add the garlic, cumin, paprika, and oregano. Cook until aromatic, about 1 minute.
  • Turn up the heat to high. Add the ground meat and cook while breaking it up with a wooden spoon for 5 minutes, or until it changes color. Mix in the pumpkin, passata, and water. Simmer and stir occasionally for 10 minutes until the pumpkin is tender.
  • Place the bread on a baking tray and bake in the oven until each side is golden and toasted, about 4 minutes per side.
  • Evenly coat the cut sides of the bread with the lamb mixture. Sprinkle with feta. Bake until feta is golden, about 5 minutes. Serve by cutting into wedges and topping with rocket.
