Delicious and budget-friendly kabobs featuring zesty lemongrass and savory ground beef.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup coarsely chopped lemon grass
  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
  • Heat up the outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Combine lemon grass, onion, and garlic in a blender or food processor, blend for about 10 seconds until finely chopped. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in beef, salt, pepper, sugar, cornstarch, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
  • Shape the meat mixture into 12 meatballs and skewer them.
  • Grill the meatballs on high heat until fully cooked, approximately 7 minutes on each side. Insert an instant-read thermometer in the center; it should register 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
