Apple crumble: Baked apples with buttery crumbs for a sweet dessert.
Ingredients:
12slicesapple
1cupapplesauce
0.5 cupbutter, melted
2eggs
0.75 cupbrown sugar
1cupbread crumbs, or as needed
0.5 cupbutter, cut into small chunks
0.25 cupwhite sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
Combine apple slices and applesauce in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup melted butter and eggs, then pour into the apple mixture. Stir in brown sugar until fully combined. Transfer the apple mixture into a prepared baking pan.
Combine bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of butter, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl, then sprinkle evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake in the oven until the apples are tender and the topping is lightly browned, approximately 30 minutes.
