Soft and subtly sweet bread machine loaf.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2.5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup malted barley flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
  • Add all ingredients, excluding the milk, to the bread machine pan in the specified order or as per manufacturer's instructions. Choose the Basic Bread setting and start the machine.
  • Once the baking cycle finishes, take the bread out of the pan and gently brush it with milk to create a soft and glossy crust.
