Marinated shrimp - great for parties. Plenty of marinade, easily halved for less shrimp.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds large shrimp - peeled and deveined
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 (8 ounce) jars prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™), or to taste
Instructions:
  • Bring a generously salted large pot of water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine onion, green pepper, vegetable oil, ketchup, cider vinegar, sugar, mustard, capers, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Mix well. Add shrimp to the sauce, cover, and refrigerate until cold. Serve cold.
