Moist Bundt cake made with buttermilk, shortening, eggs, and vanilla for a light and delightful dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and generously grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  • Cream together the sugar and shortening in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the shortening and beat until combined. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla, then pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
  • Bake in the oven until golden on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 1 hour.
