Classic ham spread with tangy tomatoes, creamy processed cheese, and a touch of instant tapioca for perfect texture.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds smoked ham, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cubed
Instructions:
  • Place ham in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain and let ham cool.
  • Add the ham to a food processor and pulse until you achieve your preferred texture.
  • Combine tomato sauce, tapioca, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a large saucepan over low heat. Add cheese product and stir until smooth. Do not let it come to a simmer.
  • Mix the melted cheese with the ground ham in a large bowl, ensuring it is thoroughly combined. Refrigerate before serving.
