Egg noodles baked to perfection with creamy cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, raisins, and a cinnamon sugar topping - a heavenly dish known as 'kugel.'
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) packageegg noodles
2cups sour cream
2cups creamy whipped cottage cheese
1cupwhite sugar, divided
2eggs, beaten
1cupraisins
Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of lightly salted water until it bubbles. Add egg noodles and cook until just tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain well.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 13x9 inch baking dish.
Combine the cooked noodles with sour cream, cottage cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, and raisins until fully mixed. Transfer the noodle mixture to the pan and top with small butter pieces.
Combine the remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the noodles.
Bake until the top is lightly brown, for about 45 minutes in a preheated oven. Let cool for 10 minutes to set before serving.
