Elevate the unique flavors of magnolia blossom leaves by pickling them delicately. Enjoy their peppery and gingery notes in noodle soups, sushi rolls, or fresh salads for a refreshing twist.
Ingredients:
  • 100 g magnolia blossom leaves (roughly 6 heads)
  • 350 ml rice wine vinegar
  • 50 g golden caster sugar
Instructions:
  • Rinse the blossom leaves and pat them dry. Arrange the leaves in a clean 500ml jar. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine rice wine vinegar, caster sugar, sea salt, and heat until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Pour the pickling liquid into the jar, seal it, and refrigerate for 24 hours. Enjoy your pickled leaves for up to 2 weeks!
