Delicious Michigan blueberry patch jam made with leftover berries.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds fresh blueberries, crushed
  • 1.5 pounds pitted fresh sweet cherries, crushed
  • 1 (11 ounce) can Mandarin orange segments, drained and crushed
  • 1 (1.75 ounce) package powdered fruit pectin
  • 5.5 cups white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, mix blueberries, cherries, oranges, lemon juice, and pectin; bring to a rolling boil. Add sugar, stir until fully dissolved, return to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, pour into hot sterilized jars, seal with lids, and process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes. Let jars cool slowly to create a vacuum seal. Allow jam to set at room temperature for 1 to 2 days before refrigerating after opening.
