Refreshing Indian mango lassi - a sweet and creamy drink to cool off after a spicy meal!
Ingredients:
  • 6 green cardamom pods optional
  • 2 ripe mangos
  • 500 g low-fat natural yoghurt
  • 100 g ice cubes
  • runny honey optional
Instructions:
  • Crush the cardamom pods in a pestle and mortar (if using), discard the green husks, and grind the seeds into a fine powder. Cut the juicy flesh off the mangos, leaving the stone in the middle and trimming away the skin. Blend the mango flesh and juices with yogurt, ice cubes, 1 tablespoon of honey, and the ground cardamom. Blend until smooth, adjust sweetness with more honey if desired, and serve right away.
