Ingredients:
  • Salt, to dip 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 250ml (1 cup) tequila
  • 185ml (3/4 cup) Cointreau liqueur
  • 250ml (1 cup) fresh lemon
  • Ice cubes
Instructions:
  • Spread a thin layer of salt on a small saucer. Glide a lemon wedge along the rim of each margarita glass, then gently dip the rims in the salt to lightly coat them. Place the glasses upright on a tray and set aside.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in half of the tequila, Cointreau, and juice. Shake vigorously. Strain half of the margarita into glasses. Pour in the remaining tequila, Cointreau, and juice, and shake again. Serve immediately.
