Grandma Margie's famous pork chops are a delightful blend of sweet and sour flavors. You can swap sour cream for cream cheese and bake covered. Serve with rice, potatoes, or pasta and a side salad. Delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2-inch thick pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.25 cups chicken broth
  • 5 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1.25 cups sour cream
  • 2.5 tablespoons sugar
  • 0.75 teaspoon crushed dried summer savory
  • 2 bay leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish, then coat the pork chops evenly in the mixture.
  • 1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, sear pork chops until golden on both sides. 2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine chicken broth, vinegar, sour cream, sugar, savory, and bay leaves, whisk until smooth. 3. Place pork chops in a baking dish, pour the sauce over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
