Green beans tossed in butter, seasoned bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese for a delicious and simple side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.5 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, cover the green beans with water, bring to a boil with the lid on. Lower the heat, simmer covered until beans are tender yet crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain and dry on paper towels.
  • In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Stir in bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese until well combined. Reduce heat to low, add beans, and cook until warmed through and crumbs start to brown, approximately 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then garnish with parsley before serving.
