Irresistible chocolate chip cookies inspired by Diane Abed's recipe, approved by even the pickiest eaters.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 tablespoons brandy
  • 1.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.75 cup golden raisin and cherry dried fruit mix
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add egg and brandy, then mix well. Stir in flour and baking soda, followed by chocolate chips and dried fruit. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until slightly doughy. Let them cool on the cookie sheets briefly before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
