Indulgent flourless chocolate torte bursting with rich dark chocolate and cocoa for a decadent delight.
Ingredients:
  • Canola oil cooking spray
  • 2.50 gm cocoa powder, sifted
  • 75.90 gm walnuts
  • 105.00 gm coconut oil
  • 220g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 268.75 gm caster sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 32.50 gm cocoa powder, sifted, extra
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 1.20 gm salt
  • 4.20 gm coconut oil, extra
  • 60g dark chocolate, chopped, extra
  • 18.40 gm chopped walnuts, extra
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Grease a 20cm round cake pan that is 6cm deep, then line the base with baking paper. Lightly spray the baking paper with oil and dust with cocoa for a delightful touch.
  • Pulse walnuts in a small food processor until finely ground (use 1/2 cup). In a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, melt oil and dark chocolate until smooth. Take off heat. Stir in sugar, then eggs one by one. Add cocoa, vanilla, and salt, whisking well. Gently fold in ground walnuts. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the cake to cool in the pan, then gently run a knife around the edges to loosen the cake before removing it from the pan.
  • In a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, smoothly mix extra oil and extra chocolate until melted. Let it cool for 10 minutes. Spread the chocolate mixture over the cake, sprinkle with extra walnuts, cut into wedges, and serve.
