Homemade New York-style cheesecake, a family heirloom. Chill for best flavor. Indulge!
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup margarine, softened
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 7 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and margarine in a medium bowl until evenly mixed. Firmly press the mixture into a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Cream together cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. In another bowl, mix cream, flour, eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla. Combine the two mixtures and pour into the crust. Make sure to mix thoroughly before pouring into the crust.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 65 minutes. Let it cool with the oven door propped open for 30 minutes. Take it out, let it cool completely, then refrigerate before serving.
