Flavorful meatloaf topped with a sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 6 slices white bread, cut into cubes
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard, divided
  • 0.5 cup ketchup, divided
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Add bread, milk, egg, 2 tablespoons of mustard, and 1/4 cup of ketchup. Mix well.
  • Transfer the meat mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Combine the remaining mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar in a small bowl, then pour over the meat loaf.
  • Bake until a thermometer inserted in the center reads 165°F (74°C), about 2 hours in the preheated oven.
