Create flavorful homemade beef jerky with a simple soy sauce marinade and dehydrate for 8 hours.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds beef top round
  • 0.66666668653488 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons finely ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Chill beef for 20 minutes for easy slicing. Cut beef into 1/4-inch strips against the grain.
  • Combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, liquid smoke, onion powder, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne, and pepper in a large bowl. Place beef strips in the mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 18 to 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Lay out beef strips evenly on dehydrator trays. Dehydrate at 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) for approximately 8 hours until fully dried.
