Nourish your baby with a delicious homemade meat and veg puree for healthy growth.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tsp olive or sunflower oil
  • 1/2 small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, peeled, coarsely grated
  • 100g lean beef or pork mince
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 80ml chicken stock
Instructions:
  • In a medium frying pan over medium-low heat, heat the oil. Add the onion, garlic, and celery. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes until the onion softens. Then add the carrot and cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender.
  • Brown the mince by stirring it with a wooden spoon for 5 minutes until it changes color. Then, add the tomato and stock, bring it to a boil, and let it simmer on low heat for 10 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Transfer the mince mixture into a blender and blitz until it reaches a creamy consistency. Serve while warm.
