Mena's Prosciutto and Basil Pizza

Delicious prosciutto and basil pizza - a flavorful twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
2ounces prosciutto, chopped
1tablespoonolive oil, or as needed
1refrigerated pizza crust
1 (6 ounce) cantomato paste
3.5 tablespoons water
1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
0.5 teaspoonwhite sugar
2large clovesgarlic, minced
1 (8 ounce) packageshreddedmozzarella cheese
8leavesbasil - stacked, rolled into a cigar shape, and thinly sliced
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to a piping hot 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).
Cook the prosciutto in a large skillet over medium-high heat, flipping occasionally, until it's crispy, for about 10 minutes. Then, set it aside.
Grease a pizza pan, baking sheet, or baking stone with a hint of oil. Gently spread the pizza dough onto the pan, extending it to the edges without tearing it.
In a small bowl, mix together tomato paste, water, oregano, sugar, and salt. Spread a layer of the mixture evenly over the dough, saving some for another pizza. Next, add minced garlic, half of the mozzarella, fried prosciutto, and the remaining mozzarella on top. Finish by sprinkling sliced basil leaves over the pizza.
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese and crust are golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Allow the pizza to cool slightly for 3 to 4 minutes, then slice and serve.
