Slow-cooked Mexican beef with spicy green chile, hot sauce, taco seasoning, chili powder, and garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (4 pound) beef chuck roast, trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1.25 cups diced green chile pepper
  • 1 (5 ounce) bottle hot sauce
  • 0.25 cup taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season beef chuck roast with salt and pepper. Brown the roast on all sides in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer the browned roast to a slow cooker.
  • Season the roast generously with onion, chile pepper, hot sauce, taco seasoning, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Slow cook until the meat is incredibly tender, for 8 to 10 hours.
