Meze Fava Beans

Tender fava beans with onion, lemon juice, and dill--a Turkish meze delight.
Ingredients:
3tablespoons olive oil
0.5onion, chopped
1.5 pounds fresh fava beans, shelled
2tablespoons water
1teaspoonall-purpose flour
1cupboiling water
1teaspoonlemon juice
0.5 teaspoonwhite sugar
salt to taste
0.5 cupchoppedfresh dill
Instructions:
In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in oil until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add fava beans and cook until slightly tender, about 2 minutes.
Combine 2 tablespoons of water with flour in a bowl, then pour it into the fava bean mixture. Stir in 1 cup of water, lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Cover and bring to a boil; then simmer on low heat until fava beans are very tender, approximately 5 minutes.
Mix in the dill with the fava bean mixture and simmer for about 2 minutes until flavors meld. Allow to cool to room temperature.
