Rapidly make a traditional classic in just one hour; effortless and authentic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour, or as needed
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped rosemary
  • 0.25 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine honey with warm water in a large bowl and sprinkle yeast over the top. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes until the yeast softens and begins to foam. Add salt, olive oil, onions, and 5 cups of flour to the mixture, and stir until the dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 20 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 415 degrees F (215 degrees C).
  • Spread the dough on the oiled baking sheet, ensuring it covers the entire surface evenly. Lightly press your fingertips all over the dough, leaving 1-inch spaces between indentations. Drizzle with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle with rosemary, Parmesan cheese, and the final tablespoon of kosher salt. Allow it to rise for 10 minutes.
  • Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
