Wholesome, sweet kabocha and honey cake - a simple and delightful treat for any time of day.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mashed pumpkin
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup cashews, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an 8-inch cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then incorporate mashed pumpkin. Add honey, milk, oil, and egg, mixing until the batter is smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and delicately press cashews onto the surface for a beautiful presentation.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
