Decadent oatmeal cookies made with cake mix, bourbon, and pecans - a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1.25 cups chopped pecans
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon (such as Maker's Mark®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Using an electric mixer, blend margarine and brown sugar until creamy. Add half of the cake mix, water, and egg, blend thoroughly. Mix in the remaining cake mix, oats, pecans, and bourbon until well combined.
  • Spoon small dollops of batter onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the hot oven on the top racks until edges are firm and golden, approximately 10 minutes.
