Creamy ground beef stroganoff made with cream cheese and sour cream for a luscious finish.
Ingredients:
1poundground beef
0.25 teaspoonsalt
0.25 teaspoongroundblack pepper
1tablespoonbutter
1onion, diced
2teaspoons mincedgarlic
3tablespoons all-purpose flour
1cupbeef broth
2teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
0.75 teaspoonprepared mustard
0.25 cuplight sour cream
0.25 cuplight cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef to the skillet, then season generously with salt and pepper. Sear the beef until fully cooked and browned, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off any excess grease before transferring the beef to a bowl. Enjoy your aromatic and perfectly seasoned beef!
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté onion and garlic in the melted butter until softened, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add flour to the onion mixture and cook until browned, around 1 minute. Then, add the beef back to the skillet, pour in beef broth, and bring to a boil. Finally, stir in Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
Cover the skillet, lower the heat to medium-low, and simmer the mixture until it thickens to a gravy-like consistency, approximately 1 hour.
Fold the sour cream and cream cheese into the beef mixture before serving.
