Delicious apple fritters with fresh apples, crispy golden brown exterior, and a coating of cinnamon-sugar for a perfect autumn dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for deep-frying
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup cinnamon sugar
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or electric skillet until it reaches 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add the milk, eggs, and oil, and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Incorporate the apples until well combined throughout.
  • Fry spoonfuls of batter in small batches in hot oil until golden all over, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate using a slotted spoon.
  • Coat warm fritters with cinnamon sugar in a bowl until fully covered.
