Irresistible cookies that vanish quickly, akin to Mrs. Field's, loved by my family.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well before stirring in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gently fold into the creamy mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into golf ball sized balls and arrange them 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Slightly flatten each ball.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
