Cheesy ham and veggie breakfast bake - a delicious twist on bread pudding.
Ingredients:
  • 9 slices bread, torn into bite size pieces
  • 0.5 cup diced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 16 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups cubed cooked ham
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
Instructions:
  • Prepare the 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it. Layer half of the torn bread on the bottom of the dish, followed by evenly sprinkling the mushrooms and green bell pepper over the bread. Add half of the cheese on top. Layer with the remaining bread pieces, then add the onion and ham. Finish by sprinkling the remaining cheese. Whisk together eggs and milk, then pour the mixture over the entire pan. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect start to your dish.
  • Cover and bake for 35 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
