Classic chicken and dumplings with creamy celery sauce and easy biscuit topping for nostalgic comfort.
Ingredients:
  • 6 boneless chicken thighs
  • 5 cups water, or as needed
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of celery soup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (12 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions:
  • In a large pot over high heat, simmer chicken in enough water to cover until fully cooked, about 15 to 20 minutes. Ensure chicken is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear; a thermometer should read at least 165°F (74°C) when inserted in the center.
  • Reserve 3 cups of the flavorful broth in the pot and gently pull apart the tender chicken into bite-sized pieces before returning it to the pot.
  • Stir in condensed soup and season with salt and pepper over medium heat. Tear biscuit dough into pieces and drop into the pot. Cook until dough is done, about 7 to 8 minutes.
