Juicy burgers with a delicious surprise inside, perfect for the whole family. Served on a bun with sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • fresh-ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 4 hamburger buns
Instructions:
  • Heat up the grill to medium heat, then lightly oil the grate once it's hot.
  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring often. Add onions and cook until bacon is browned but not crisp, and onions are soft. Drain on paper towels and season with black pepper to taste.
  • Combine ground beef and onion soup mix in a large bowl. Form 8 equal-sized balls and flatten into thin patties. Place a portion of the bacon mixture on 4 patties, then cover with the remaining patties, sealing the edges well.
  • Grill the burgers for 15 minutes, flipping once, until perfectly cooked. Serve on buns with your preferred condiments.
