Deliciously spiced apple cake topped with crunchy cinnamon walnuts.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 2 cups apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a 9x13-inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Prepare the topping by combining walnuts, both sugars, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Combine the flour, both sugars, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Create a well in the center and add sour milk, oil, and eggs. Use an electric mixer to beat until smooth, then gently mix in the chopped apples.
  • Spread the batter into the pan and generously sprinkle the topping mixture on top.
  • Bake in the oven preheated until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes.
