Crunchy, chewy cookies with coconut, oats, and corn flakes bake to golden perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.75 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1.75 cups rolled oats
  • 1.75 cups corn flake cereal
  • 0.5 cup flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  • Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract until mixture is velvety.
  • Whisk both quantities of flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl, then combine with the liquid ingredients.
  • Incorporate rolled oats, corn flakes, and coconut into the dough with a delicate touch until evenly mixed.
  • Spoon tablespoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets.
  • Bake in the oven until the cookies are lightly golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow the mixture to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
