Festive holiday rolls stuffed with savory sausage, gooey cheese, and fluffy eggs, perfect served hot or cold.
Ingredients:
  • 3 (1 pound) loaves frozen bread dough
  • 2 pounds pork sausage
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 pound pepperoni sausage, diced
  • 2 pounds provolone cheese, shredded
  • 5 eggs, well beaten
Instructions:
  • Allow the frozen bread dough to thaw.
  • In a large, deep skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat until nicely browned. Remove and set aside after draining off any excess fat.
  • Cook and stir the eggs in a large skillet over medium heat until they are cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  • Roll out the bread dough into a thin sheet on a lightly floured surface. Evenly layer 1/3 of each: sausage, eggs, pepperoni, and Provolone cheese on the dough. Roll up the loaf.
  • Carefully place the rolled loaves into the baking dish, coat with 1/3 of the beaten egg mixture, and bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes until beautifully golden brown. Optional: shape the loaves into a U before baking for a unique presentation.
