Total Time:
Cornbread stuffing with hard-boiled eggs, onion, garlic, sage, and celery, moistened with chicken and turkey broth, perfect for a 12-15 pound turkey.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages dry corn bread mix
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 6 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 2 cups turkey stock
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Follow the instructions on the cornbread package to make the cornbread. Allow it to cool, then crumble it. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix crumbled corn bread, onion, garlic, celery, and eggs in a large bowl until combined. Gently fold in salt, pepper, and sage.
  • Slowly pour in the chicken and turkey broth, 1 cup at a time, until the cornbread is perfectly moist without being wet.
  • Fill a Dutch oven with stuffing or stuff loosely into a turkey. Bake until stuffing reaches 175 degrees F (80 degrees C), about 1 hour.
