Grilled pork chops with sweet apple and pear topping for a delicious blend of flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 0.5 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 0.33333334326744 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 8 pork chops, 1/2 to 1 inch thick
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 large green apples - peeled, cored, and cut into eighths
  • 4 Bartlett pears - peeled, cored, and cut into eighths
Instructions:
  • Combine 1 cup brown sugar, soy sauce, orange juice, brown mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and cumin in a large bowl until sugar dissolves. Add pork chops, spoon marinade over the top, and marinate at room temperature for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Heat up the outdoor grill until it reaches a medium-high temperature and brush the grate lightly with oil. Take the chops out of the marinade, shaking off any excess, and dispose of the leftover marinade.
  • Grill the chops on a preheated grill for 8 minutes on each side until nicely browned with grill marks and cooked through. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the chops while grilling and ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C) using a meat thermometer.
  • In a large skillet over high heat, melt butter until sizzling. Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until dissolved and a fragrant aroma fills the kitchen. Toss in apple and pear slices, cooking until coated and just softened, about 5 minutes. Transfer the fruit to a grilling basket.
  • Grill fruit slices until beautifully caramelized, for about 5 minutes. Enjoy the grilled fruit alongside juicy pork chops.
