Traditional potato salad with a surprising twist of delicious anise flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium baking potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon anise seed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hard-cooked eggs sliced, for garnish
  • 1 dash ground paprika
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, cover the potatoes with water and bring to a gentle boil. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until tender. Drain the potatoes, then cool them by running under cold water. Drain well before using.
  • Combine potatoes, celery, onion, mayonnaise, and anise seed in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then chill. Top with sliced hard-cooked eggs and a sprinkle of paprika before serving. Enjoy!
