Delicious salad with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, olives, peas, water chestnuts, and a creamy Cheddar cheese dressing, finished with crispy bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1.25 cups mayonnaise
  • 4 cups torn iceberg lettuce
  • 2 large Roma (plum) tomatoes, or more to taste, chopped
  • 1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 0.5 cup cooked crumbled bacon
Instructions:
  • Combine Cheddar cheese and mayonnaise in a small bowl.
  • Create a beautiful base by gently arranging the lettuce in a large glass serving bowl. Follow by adding layers of tomatoes, black olives, peas, and water chestnuts in that order. Spread the delicious Cheddar cheese mixture over the water chestnuts and finish it off with a generous topping of crispy bacon.
  • Chill the salad by covering the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerating for at least 30 minutes.
