Delicious chocolate chip oat biscuit, a must-have treat!
Ingredients:
  • 125g butter or margarine, at room temperature
  • 118.80 gm (135g, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla essence
  • 110g (3/4 cup) plain flour
  • 1.25 gm bicarbonate of soda
  • 110g (1 1/4 cups) rolled oats
  • 140g (3/4 cup) dark Choc Bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and prepare a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use electric beaters to cream together butter, brown sugar, and vanilla essence until pale and creamy. Add the egg and beat until well combined. Sift together plain flour and bicarbonate of soda, then stir into the butter mixture using a wooden spoon along with rolled oats and Choc Bits.
  • Spoon dollops of the mixture onto the lined baking tray, spacing them about 10cm apart, then gently press down to slightly flatten. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden and fully cooked. Let them sit on the tray for 2-3 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool. Repeat with the rest of the mixture. Store the cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
