Whip up a refreshing green tea ice cream with matcha powder, milk, and cream for a vibrant, homemade treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 5 tablespoons green tea powder (matcha)
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over gentle heat, blend milk and cream. Gently whisk in egg yolks, sugar, and green tea powder until the powder dissolves, taking care not to let it boil, for approximately 5 minutes. Pour mixture through a strainer into a bowl and let it cool to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  • Transfer the milk mixture into an ice cream maker and proceed according to the manufacturer's guidelines for making ice cream.
