Tangy glaze of mustard, sugar, and orange juice on smoked ham, ideal for Easter feast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 pound) bone-in smoked ham
  • 2 oranges, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Place the ham in a large pot and submerge it in water. Let it soak for 8 hours to overnight to reduce saltiness.
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a roasting pan by lining it with aluminum foil.
  • Combine vibrant orange juice, rich brown sugar, and pungent dry mustard in a small bowl to create a flavorful mixture.
  • Pat dry the ham and transfer it to the roasting pan. Score the outside of the ham diagonally, then brush with the orange juice mixture and stud with cloves at the cross marks.
  • Roast in the oven until thoroughly heated and the glaze is golden brown, approximately 2 hours. Allow it to rest for 20 to 30 minutes before slicing.
