Create crispy Norwegian cookies on a decorative iron, roll into cones. Enjoy plain or dip in chocolate and fill with whipped cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon butter flavoring, optional
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix sugar and butter until combined. Then, one at a time, add the eggs and mix well. Stir in flour, milk, vanilla, and butter flavoring until the batter is smooth.
  • Preheat krumkake iron on medium heat and grease both sides with butter or cooking spray.
  • Drop one generous tablespoon of batter onto the center of the hot iron. Gently close it until just pressed together. Cook until golden brown on one side for about 30 seconds, then flip and cook the other side. Remove the krumkake from the iron and swiftly roll it around a wooden spoon handle to shape a cone. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
  • Allow the krumkake to cool fully on a wire rack before transferring to an airtight container for storage.
