Make homemade Chinese stir fry using any veggies you have. Use chicken thigh, beef, or chicken breast strips. Add sweet chili sauce for extra heat in the sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 500g chow mein noodles (see tips)
  • 27.60 gm vegetable oil
  • 400g RSPCA Approved chicken thigh fillets, thinly sliced
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) Chicken Style Liquid Stock
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 1 small wombok (Chinese cabbage), finely shredded
  • 150g sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 1 carrot, peeled, cut into matchsticks
  • 3 green shallots, thinly sliced diagonally
Instructions:
  • Cook your noodles according to the instructions on the packet, then drain them.
  • In a hot wok, sear the chicken in oil until fully cooked, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine the stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and corn flour in a jug, stirring until well mixed.
  • In a hot wok, quickly stir-fry wombok, sugar snap peas, and carrot until tender-crisp. Next, add noodles and stock mixture and stir-fry until noodles are heated through and sauce thickens. Add shallots and toss everything together. Serve and enjoy!
